You can challenge yourself to complete either the 5k (3.1 miles) or 10k (6.2 miles) race. Awards will be given to the winners in both distances for the different age groups at the 10:30am awards ceremony. See the awards page for details. Runners will be allowed 90 minutes to complete the race. This means 5k participants have plenty of freedom to walk as long as they complete each mile in under 29 minutes. 10k participants will need to average 14.5 minutes each mile which still allows for some walking during the race if needed.
While this is a competition, everyone is invited to participate regardless of age or physical ability. It will be a lively and encouraging environment which will be fun for both first timers and experienced runners. Runners must arrive by 8:15 on race morning to receive their race bib and all final instructions before the race begins at 9:00am sharp. The awards ceremony will take place right next to the start/finish at 10:30am.
